You can't get more anti-american than wanting to break up America.  We are four months into the Obama administration and Glen Beck is advocating for the right of states to secede from the Union.  If you go to the Republican National Convention (it is still up) you will see this quote from John McCain:  "I pledge...to act as Americans, not Republicans, because America needs us now no matter whether we are Republican or Democrat..."

It Gets Better

The convention's overall theme, "Country First" was splashed all over the convention floor on banners, signs, and placards throughout the entire 4 day event.  They even have a website called CountryFirstPac.com.  This is what it is about:  "Country First will allow us to strengthen our Party, better define our Republican ideals and message, recruit and back strong, dedicated candidates and continue our efforts to bring real reform to government by always putting our country and the noble ideals she stands for first."

Now, some of the Republicans who were on the losing side of that election are urging certain states to separate from America and become sovereign nations unto themselves.  Yep, Glen Beck is one of them.

Beck is a self-described recovering alcoholic and addict.  He and his first wife divorced amid his struggle with substance abuse.  Beck cites the help of Alcoholics Anonymous with his current sobriety, and he eventually converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  None of this stops him from being a rising superstar on the Fox News Channel.

Here in this video you can see what he has to say about secession:

Beck is the rising superstar in cable TV news. Like him or hate him, people watch him.  Beck's on-camera theatrics  - he talks loud, laughs, cries, uses excessive hand gestures, takes chalk to do blackboard visuals, and scorns absurdity – have turned him into a popular media messenger who, the ratings suggest, attracts as many people who can't stand him as those who feel alienated and disenfranchised and believe he speaks for them.
