Today we found out that BP has been holding onto High Definition video footage of the leaking wellhead.  This video was needed by outside scientists so that they could adequately estimate the amount of oil being released into the gulf each hour.  An accurate estimate would have handy to have when planning a response to this event, so why didn't BP release this video sooner?
