Nice Commutator Acquisition
#1
I had my eye out for one of those large commutators with lots of contacts, and preferably flat style so I can rotate brushes for a smooth field.  And one came up on ebay  for just over $30 so I snagged it..

It has 59 contacts (prime number) and is SUPER thick copper..  It's going to be a beast to solder to, so I had to order a 300 watt soldering iron and I probably have to pre-heat this sucker in the oven first to get the solder to flow.

We will see what I can do with it!
